Summer Staff :

Are you between 15 and 17 years young?  Do you like playing/working with younger children?We are looking for you to work the Summer of 2022.  Will need to work all 8 weeks we are open or any part of the summer. 

We will be starting training in now until June which will include but not limited to CPR and First Aid.

Morning Staff Person - Open

We are also looking for College Students or adults to work the Before Care program from 7:00AM to 9:00AM. Working with 5 year olds to 13 years old. All year staff person

We are looking for a committed Group Teacher to complement our qualified workforce.  You will be responsible for helping children with homework for children in grades K-8.  The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Provided help with homework for children in grades K-8.
  • Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
  • Create activities to do with the children that will educate them as well as encourage them to learn.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly workspace
  • Collaborate with other staff, parents and stakeholders.
  • Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a group teacher
  • Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures
  • Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organized and committed
  • Creative and energetic
  • Strong moral values and discipline
  • Knowledge of CPR
  • Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child
    Development
  • Nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health
    Care, Nursing, or any other field related to child growth or
    development
  • Associates degree in childhood education or accreditation is a plus.

Summer Staff

Assistant Group Leader 

Looking for those interested in working with children in a camp-like environment.  Must have a fun, creative, and positive attitude.  Able to relate to children and work/communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.  Be flexible and have the ability to think quickly on your feet.  Ability to lead games, help organize those around you, and anticipate needs of children and group.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Group Leader in managing group activities and equipment.
  • Insure safety of children at all times (e.g., bathrooms, bus, pool, park, trips).
  • Participate in all activities.
  • Maintain constant communication with Group Leader
  • Any additional responsibilities as assigned by Group Leader, Supervisor, and Director.

Requirements:

  • Attend all training including in-house and Virtus.
  • Complete references and background check.
  • Must be physically able to perform summer camp-like activities including game play, walking, hiking, swimming, as well as tolerate temperature ranges and insects/pests. 
  • Need to be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
